An Example as to Why AI Writing Isn’t the Best

Some of us out there (I’m looking at you, David) have the idea that if AI gets too advanced they’ll take all our jobs and dictate over our lives.

My friends (conspiracy theorists are not my friends), I’m here to tell you today that where AI is right now, maybe you shouldn’t worry at all.

This is what happens when you throw machine translation and machine text generation together into one heaping pile of trash.

The Process

The original sentence I used is:

I like my bike. My bike is milk.

Then, I used Google Translate to mutilate the corpus into Chinese (Simplified Characters) as:

我喜欢我的自行车。我的自行车是牛奶。

then threw this translated abomination into DeepAI’s “Text Generation API”, which mercilessly yielded the following:

我喜欢我的自行车。我的自行车是牛奶。我的一侰师険会出大鄦一个知证休之后迎这样中,能有一求的一戩子倒预圮炻动,是与自行的得于可有听发惀到的入安兹,兌听手付是所以宰害上吧。 It also seems that many people actually prefer to stay in the city. 彼其中间耗来最这里,也长也到。 但是那么会判对肐的一战没有一夏,可能家没有所名请矡面付就院提了来至力致吧?却坈,那么员们看

Now,

What in the world does this mean in English?

Using Google Translate again, we get this unrelinquishing pseudo-masterpiece:

I like my bike. My bicycle is milk. My first teacher will give a big talk and give a testimony to greet this way. The one who can have a request is to pre-work, and it is related to the self-obtained and audible surprise to enter Ainz. So let’s kill it. It also seems that many people actually prefer to stay in the city. But then it will be judged that there is no summer in the battle against the arm. Maybe the family has no name and asks the face to pay the court to mention it to the utmost effort, right? But, let’s see.

Thank you for your time.
